Biodiesel Quality in Germany 2017
In all EU member states, biodiesel – also known as FAME (Fatty Acid Methyl Ester) – contributes to the reduction of CO2 emissions and the use of fossil fuels by its use as admixture to Diesel fuel at a rate of 7 % (B7). To guarantee a marketable and suitable product it is essential to reliably meet the high-quality requirements resulting from EU standard EN 14214 and thus to only market products of high quality. To comply with this claim Association Quality Management biodiesel (AGQM) which is the alliance of most German biodiesel producers and traders, was founded in Germany in 1999.
Biodiesel Quality in Germany 2016
To assure the Biodiesel quality of AGQM member companies a quality management system (QM system) was developed which has been implemented successfully for many years. It is continually revised by AGQM’s Quality Assurance Committee (QA Committee) to assure that the increasing requirements regarding the quality of Biodiesel are always met. QA Committee members are experts in the field of quality management and come from AGQM member companies as well as non-AGQM companies like commercial laboratories.
Biodiesel Quality in Germany 2015

It is continually revised by AGQM’s Quality Assurance Committee (QA Committee) so that it continues to meet the increasing requirements with regard to the Biodiesel quality. The QA Committee members are experts in the field of quality management and come from AGQM member companies as well as non-AGQM companies like commercial laboratories.
Biodiesel Quality in Germany 2014
Unannounced sampling to check the product quality of the members of Association Quality Management Biodiesel e.V. (AGQM) is an important element of AGQM’s quality management system. The data compiled over the years form the basis of a database unique in the world for the development of the Biodiesel quality. Therefore, AGQM impressively documents the continuing improvement and optimization of production processes and quality assurance measures in the Biodiesel trade.

Biodiesel Quality in Germany - AGQM Sampling Campaigns 2012
Since its foundation in 1999, Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitaetsmanagement Biodiesel e.V. (AGQM) has taken a large number of measures to assure the continuous improvement of the quality of ‘Biodiesel’. Apart from implementing a quality assurance system – which the association makes available to its members and the observance of which it monitors – the most important measure were regular checks of the Biodiesel quality at filling stations and member companies, both trading companies and production plants.
AGQM publishes study on the quality of biodiesel
The Association Quality Management Biodiesel (AGQM) is publishing a study on the quality of biodiesel for the first time. The samples were taken and analysed during the course of 2010 from the member companies of AGQM as part of an unannounced sampling process by an independent test institute. The quality of the analysed biodiesel samples fully meets the requirements of DIN EN 14214 as well as the stricter requirements of the AGQM quality assurance system.
