„7th International AGQM Conference“

Latest trends in the biodiesel business, 06/07 November

This year the “7th International Conference” taking place in Berlin and organized by AGQM (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Qualitätsmanagement Biodiesel e.V.) will focus on the practical implementation of the new German greenhouse gas emission reduction quota for biofuels which will be effective from next year on.

On 06/07 November 2014 international experts will outline today’s market situation and the current political framework for renewable fuels. They will discuss the successful marketing of certified biodiesel following the transition from energetic biofuel quota to greenhouse gas emission reduction quota which will take place next year. Also, they will outline what producers must do to obtain regulatory compliance. Another main topic of the conference will be the alternative use of fatty acid methyl esters as a basic component in the chemical industry.
The conference will present current research results in the fields of fuel quality, engine related aspects, storage, and analysis of biodiesel. Furthermore the conference deals with technical questions about the use of so-called organic heating oil, i.e. biodiesel, for heating purposes when blended in mineral oil. Also, we will present innovative production methods for biodiesel using catalytic and enzymatic processes. A presentation that deals with the separation of unwanted vegetable oil components with their potential risk to clog fuel filters will round off this comprehensive agenda.

The “7th International AGQM Conference” addresses representatives of business, associations, authorities, laboratories, scientific institutes and interested individuals alike. Conference languages will be German and English; all presentations will be interpreted simultaneously.
