French expedition yacht refueled with B100 for the first time

In September 2023, an expedition yacht owned by the French cruise company Ponant was refueled for the first time in Cherbourg with B100 made from used cooking oils (UCOME). The use of biodiesel can achieve 90% greenhouse gas savings compared to conventional fuels. Ponant will accompany the first bunkering of B100 with a series of tests, such as the measurements of NOx, SOx, particulates and black carbon emissions. After successful completion of the test phase, it is planned to extend the use of B100 to the rest of the fleet.
