EU import duties on Indonesian biodiesel imposed

On Tuesday, the European Union has imposed duties on Indonesian biodiesel of 8-18 percent to restore a level playing field for EU producers. The duties are imposed on a provisional basis. There will be further investigations with a possibility of definitive measures by mid-December. The worth of the European biodiesel market is estimated nine billion euros a year, with imports from Indonesia worth about 400 million euros.
