EPA: Reduction of biofuel volume requirements

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) will reduce the majority of biofuel volume requirements for 2018. The reduction occurs in the advanced biofuel category. Only the blending of biodiesel is increased to 2.1 billion gallons (from 2.0 billion), due to the fact that the determination of the biodiesel value was set in the 2017 final rule one year before. For 2019, EPA has proposed a constant blending of biodiesel (2.1 billion gallons).
