Consumption of UCOME exceeds RME in 2016

The German office for agriculture and food (BLE) reported that in 2016 the consumption of biodiesel from used cooking oil (UCOME, 0.87 million tons) exceeded the use of biodiesel from rapeseed oil (RME, 0.86 million tons) for the first time. The RME consumption underwent a massive drop from 1.3 million tons in 2015 while the consumption of UCOME was steadily rising.
