Biodiesel output in Brazil breaks 10-year record

In March Brazil produced 452 million liters of biodiesel which is the highest volume in ten years in the month. In the first quarter of 2018 Brazil increased biodiesel production by 32% in comparison to the previous year to 1.13 billion liters. Soybean was the main raw material (67.8%). The Ministry for Mines and Energy said, that the increase is due to the 10% blending mandate which is expected to boost Brazilian demand significantly in 2018.
