126 new MAN-buses for Oslo – powered by 100% biodiesel

There are now 127 new MAN Lion’s City buses on the road in Oslo and neighbouring regions. The Norwegian bus company Unibuss acquired three different models (Lion’s City GL, - L LE und - LE) form the German manufacturer. These are to be used in public transport and offer up to 57 seats per bus. The buses there run exclusively on biodiesel. They are powered by a D2066 LUH diesel engine and a 290 hp D0836 engine, both of which comply with the Euro 6d emissions standard. The Norwegian company chose MAN Lion's City Buses primarily to achieve the high climate targets. Biodiesel reduces the greenhouse gas emissions by up to 90% in comparison to conventional diesel, according to Øystein Svendsen, CEO of Unibuss.
