REG completes upgrade in Emden biorefinery

In January 2017 Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG) took over the biorefinery in Emden, Germany from Petrotec AG after a majority investment in December 2014. Now REG invested 2.5 million € for the installation of a new biodiesel distillation column and a thermal oil heater. REG sees this as another milestone in their European strategy to be a leader in delivering high quality biofuels.
