Rapeseed oil price on multi-year low

The reduction of tariff rates on palm oil from Indonesia and on biodiesel from Argentina increasingly weighed down prices of vegetable oils in Germany. According to information by Agrarmarkt Informations-Gesellschaft mbH (AMI) the price for rapeseed oil was recently reported at 640 EUR/t. This was the lowest level in three and a half years. The price for soybean oil is at 678 EUR/t far below the previous year (778 EUR/t).
