Frankfurt garbage disposal relies on biodiesel and electromobility

In a two-year pilot project funded by the state of Hesse, the Frankfurter Entsorgungs- und Service GmbH has tested the use of a hybrid vehicle powered by natural gas and electricity for waste disposal. After the end of the pilot project the company announced that it would not continue to use the tested technology but would instead focus on the use of biodiesel and the expansion of electromobility.
